Inverters - FR-700 Series

Today's innovative building services impose a wide variety of demands on drive systems. As a result more planners are now looking for open, flexible and fully-scaleable drives. Additional requirements include user-friendliness, network support and, of course, maximum reliability - particularly in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) applications. The drives must also be economical to use, combining minimum operating costs and maximum energy savings.

The frequency inverters of the FR-700 series are a modern and intelligent drive solution that can easily be integrated into complex modern building services automation systems. The FR-700 frequency inverter drives are particularly well suited for driving pumps and fans and for applications with reduced overloads, such as air-conditioning systems in building services and industry, ventilation and air extractions systems, drains systems, ground water pumps and heat pumps.

In addition to the IP00 and IP20 protection ratings the inverters in the output range up to 55kW are also available with an IP54 rating (FR-746 series).

FR-FSU - Floor-Standing Unit for FR-700 frequency inverters

Mitsubishi Electric now offers new housing units for free-standing installation of frequency inverters outside the switchgear cabinet. The sturdy Floor-Standing Units have an IP20 protection rating. They are delivered pre-configured and in addition to the frequency inverter itself they also have space for integration of a DC reactor or an additional EMC filter. FSUs are available in a variety of sizes to match the different output capacity models of FR-700 frequency inverters. It is delivered with a complete installation kit including screws, cables and terminal block.

Inverters - FR-A500 Series

The FR-A500 is Mitsubishi Electric's high-end line of frequency inverters. This series features a wealth of functions and accessories that cater to virtually all requirements in the output range up to 450kW - this is made possible by over 100 drive parameters and program functions. The SLV Vector Control with Online Autotuning and automatic slip compensation gets the maximum in speed constancy, dynamic performance and smooth running from your motors. No complex configuration sequences are necessary - to activate the software routines you just save the standard motor data, such as the power, the voltage, the frequendy f and the asynchronous motor's number of pole pairs.

Three additional internal expansion slots enable connection to current field bus networks like Profibus/DP, DeviceNet and CC-Link and the use of rotary position transducer cards for closed-loop applications. Other communications facilities like the integrated RS-485 interface enable the configuration of multidrop applications with up to 32 stations and connection of the latest PC and process visualisation systems. A brake chopper is included as standard equipment in all models up to 7.5kW.

The integrated control unit with the one-touch Digital Dial control facilitates efficient entry of all drive parameters. Or you can choose the alternative alphanumeric control panel with multi-language support and a copy function. Both displays provide at-a-glance information on the current status of the drive system and clear error messages.

FR-E500 series
Compact / powerful inverter

Mitsubishi Electric's FR-E500 frequency inverters bring a large number of intelligent functions and communications capabilities to the compact class up to 7.5kW. The series features SLV Vector Control and Soft PWM, which enables very powerful torque, particularly in the lower speed range. Active current limiting makes tripless operation possible across the entire acceleration and deceleration range. A brake chopper is included as standard equipment.

The FR-E500 supports connections to open field bus systems like Profibus/DP, DeviceNet and CC-Link.
